Taiwan, as a major tea-drinking nation, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Finance, consumed 1.1 billion cups of hand-shaken beverages in 2023.The Tea Research and Extension Station reports that Taiwan generates approximately 300,000 tons of tea residue annually. With a disposal cost of NT$1,000 per ton, over NT$300 million is spent on waste removal each year. Additionally, burning tea residue will cause air pollution. If recycle, it could not only reduce disposal costs but also create added value. This project upholds the concept of recycling and fully degradeable products.By integrating tea residue with various recycled materials, we develop tangible products for daily use and hand-shaken beverage shop supplies.
Our goal is to enhance public awareness of sustainable materials, offering an eco-friendly, convenient, and trendy experience. Furthermore, we encourage people to recognize the potential of tea residue as a valuable resource, unlocking its limitless possibilities.
