民權路三段街道活化計畫

民權路三段擁有豐富的歷史文化與多元建築風格，街道上人潮熙來攘往，攤販叫賣聲不絕於耳，充滿著繁忙而懷舊的氛圍。許多當地居民自行經營商店，而遊客則來此體驗文化與歷史，帶動經濟發展，使街道更具活力。

本計畫以水仙宮為核心，透過節點設計來改善街道環境，並喚起人們對此地的記憶與情感共鳴。選定香鋪與中藥行作為文化節點，體現信仰與生活的交織。香鋪象徵早期移民的精神依靠，展現信仰文化的深厚根基；中藥行則反映當地居民傳統的醫療方式，與水仙宮求藥籤的習俗相連，突顯人們對健康的重視。

此外，街道設計將透過架高步行平台、階梯式休憩區及互動觀景台來提升空間層次與行人互動體驗。架高平台讓行人能俯瞰市場與街景，提升觀賞體驗而不影響街道動線；階梯式休憩區設置於市場入口或街角，提供休息與社交空間；互動平台則作為觀景台或小型活動區，增強街區的社交與商業機能。

整體設計融合歷史與現代元素，重塑街道繁華時代的樣貌，並賦予創新的體驗方式，使民權路三段成為兼具文化價值與現代活力的街區，讓人們在此感受歷史的溫度與生活的變遷。

Revitalization Plan for Minquan Road Section 3

Minquan Road Section 3 is rich in historical and cultural heritage, featuring diverse architectural styles. The bustling street is filled with vendors’ calls, old shops, and traditional food stalls, creating a lively yet nostalgic atmosphere. Many local residents run their own businesses, while tourists visit to experience the culture and history, boosting the economy and revitalizing the area.

This project centers around Shuixian Temple, improving the streetscape through key cultural nodes that evoke collective memories and emotional connections. Two significant points of interest are the incense shop and the traditional Chinese medicine store, representing faith and daily life. The incense shop reflects the spiritual reliance of early settlers who faced hardships in Taiwan, while the medicine store highlights the traditional practice of seeking herbal remedies after drawing divination slips at Shuixian Temple, emphasizing the historical importance of healthcare.

To enhance spatial quality and interaction, the design incorporates a raised pedestrian platform, a tiered seating area, and an interactive viewing deck. The raised platform allows pedestrians to overlook the market and street while maintaining smooth traffic flow. The tiered seating area, positioned at key locations like the market entrance or street corners, provides spaces for rest and social gatherings. Meanwhile, the interactive viewing deck serves as both a scenic lookout and a venue for small activities, increasing engagement and commercial opportunities.

By blending historical charm with modern functionality, this plan seeks to restore the vibrancy of the past while offering a fresh cultural experience. Minquan Road Section 3 will become a dynamic and culturally significant street where people can connect with history while enjoying contemporary urban life.
