Fine wine is a subtle luxury, resting in a secluded corner, hidden from the light of day. Its presence always signifies certain seasons or holds special meaning.
A wine cabinet is more than just a container for bottles; its design reflects personal aesthetics.
In this piece, wood is chosen as the primary material to enhance visual warmth and elegance with its unique grain and texture. The design incorporates interactive elements and lighting to break away from the dull impression of a “cabinet” while maintaining a refined balance.
The lattice-style outer frame not only enhances the cabinet’s appearance but also shields the wine from external light, preserving its quality. LED strips are used as the light source to avoid the heat waste generated by traditional halogen lamps, which could affect wine storage.
By combining wood with metal hardware, we aim to offer a versatile choice for wine enthusiasts and collectors. Rather than being a stationary fixture, this cabinet is designed to be mobile—an artisan piece that moves within a space.
Special thanks to Professor Jian Mingfeng for his expertise and craftsmanship, which helped overcome many structural challenges in this project.
We hope you like it.
