透過再利用設計,台泥鼓山廠文化園區成功轉型為歷史與創新共存的文化場域,為城市帶來新生機,也讓工業遺址成為連結過去與未來的重要橋樑。
The Taiwan Cement Gushan Plant in Kaohsiung has undergone significant transformations over time, transitioning from an industrial site to abandonment. Today, through innovative design and the concept of adaptive reuse, it has been reimagined as a cultural park that integrates history, culture, and nature. The site is situated near the Love River and Shoushan, offering a rich ecological environment and distinctive industrial heritage. Surrounded by art museums, history museums, and other cultural spaces, it has become a rare cultural and recreational space within the urban landscape.
The park's design preserves the original industrial structures of the cement plant, revitalizing the old buildings through modern architectural interventions and landscaping techniques. The Historical Exhibition Area presents the development of the Taiwan Cement Gushan Plant, using images, text, and interactive displays to provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the industrial culture. The accommodation area repurposes the old cement silos, offering an industrial-style lodging experience that allows guests to connect more intimately with the site’s history.
The exhibition area showcases historical scenes and relics, while the Crafting Zone is designed as a space for hands-on experiences and DIY workshops, allowing visitors to actively engage in cultural preservation. There is also a café where guests can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere while reflecting on the past. Additionally, the park features walking trails and open spaces, allowing visitors to engage with both the Love River and Shoushan, experiencing the unique fusion of nature and history.
Through adaptive reuse, the Taiwan Cement Gushan Plant Cultural Park has successfully transformed into a cultural space where history and innovation coexist. It has injected new vitality into the city and turned the industrial heritage site into a vital bridge connecting the past and the future.
