The circular design concept of this project revolves around utilizing agricultural waste—peanut shells—as the primary material. By grinding the shells and transforming them into biodegradable daily necessities, the design effectively reduces resource waste. Additionally, the product incorporates a modular design, featuring replaceable brush heads and detachable razor blades, which extends its lifespan and minimizes dependence on disposable plastics.
In terms of circular design, this project falls under two key categories: circular materials and circular product design. The materials used primarily consist of peanut shells, which are ground and processed using 3D printing technology to create a biodegradable alternative to plastic, significantly reducing resource waste. The modular design approach further enhances sustainability by allowing components such as brush heads and razor blades to be replaced rather than discarded entirely, reducing overall plastic consumption.
From a cradle-to-cradle system perspective, the product aligns with biological circulation principles.
