臺灣的四大商港—基隆、高雄、台中、花蓮，承載著豐富的歷史、人文與水文發展脈絡。《T•W港潮》是一款融合敘事插畫的教具，透過視覺化呈現港口的歷史故事，讓使用者能直觀地理解臺灣港口文化的變遷。這款作品不僅是一套教育工具，更是一場穿越時空的視覺探索，引領觀者重新認識港口所扮演的重要角色。
本作品採用細膩而富有年代感的線條，重現各港口的歷史場景，並結合敘事式視覺設計，讓畫面猶如歷史長卷般徐徐展開。我們運用卷軸設計，模擬歷史軸線的進進感，使學習更具沉浸氛圍。此外，搭配感光油墨技術，讓不同光線下呈現隱藏資訊，讓使用者能夠「發掘」歷史，提升學習的互動性與趣味性。

T•W Port Tide – An Educational Tool Recreating Taiwan’s Port History Through Illustration

Taiwan’s four major commercial ports—Keelung, Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Hualien—carry a rich history of cultural and hydrological development. T•W Port Tide is an educational tool that integrates narrative illustrations to visually present the historical evolution of these ports, allowing users to intuitively understand the transformation of Taiwan’s port culture. This work is not just a teaching aid but also a journey through time, guiding viewers to rediscover the crucial roles that ports have played throughout history.

This project employs delicate and era-inspired linework to reconstruct historical port scenes, combined with a narrative visual design that unfolds like an ancient scroll. We utilize a scroll mechanism to simulate the progression of historical timelines, enhancing the immersive learning experience. Additionally, photosensitive ink technology reveals hidden information under different lighting conditions, enabling users to “uncover” history, making learning more interactive and engaging.

T•W Port Tide not only brings port history to life but also aims to inspire greater awareness of Taiwan’s maritime culture and port development. Through this educational tool, we hope to foster public recognition and discussion of local history, ensuring that Taiwan’s port stories are not lost to time but continue to be passed down through the perspectives of future generations.
