會取用「蓮」這個字的原因是因爲愛蓮說中的「出淤泥而不染」，就像我們每一個人不會被外界所影響，依舊可以活出自我、保持初心。我們想透過「蓮」來傳達，就算身處在泥濘之中我們依然可以活出成一朵盛開嬌豔的蓮花。而因為蓮花代表著和平、和諧正如我們來自不同文化下成長的人所以更能體現出我們對於種族和文化差異的多樣性與包容性。
利用偏古風的色調以及背景作為我們這支MV的主軸呼應了「愛蓮說」，而MV當中我們想表達的是每個人的經歷以及反諷在牌桌上茶餘飯後的八卦，其中我們也想表達對於「不被外在影響依舊活出自我」。開頭的部分是準備赴約一場相聚在此講述我們自己的故事、遭遇的經歷，也因為這些經歷才能成就出現在更好的我們以及保持初心的決心。

Lotus

The reason we chose the character "蓮" (lotus) is because of the phrase "出淤泥而不染" from The Ode to the Lotus—it represents the idea of staying pure and untainted despite being surrounded by dirt, just like how we, as individuals, remain unaffected by external influences and continue to live authentically while staying true to our original selves. Through the lotus, we want to convey that even when we are surrounded by challenges, we can still thrive and blossom into a beautiful flower. Additionally, the lotus symbolizes peace and harmony, reflecting how we come from diverse cultural backgrounds, which highlights our embrace of racial and cultural differences with diversity and inclusivity.

The slightly classical tone and background used in the music video (MV) serve as a reference to The Ode to the Lotus. In the MV, we aim to express the experiences of each individual, as well as the irony found in the gossip and small talk during casual moments, like at the card table or over tea. We also wish to convey the idea of "remaining true to oneself despite external influences." The beginning of the video shows preparations for a gathering where we share our stories and personal experiences. It is through these experiences that we have become better versions of ourselves and strengthened our resolve to stay true to our original intentions.
