「中興新村」最初為省政府的所在地，是辦公與住宅合一的田園式行政社區，整個社區除了行政地區和宿舍，也有不少美食聚集的地方，例如：市場、美食廣場等，其中也包含了這次設計想改造的美食街。

此美食街對於中興這地方的居民來說，是從小到大的回憶，起初的動機是想改善美食街的環境，規劃完善的動線，分區更明確的商場，提供居民及遊客更舒服的享受美食，而剛好這地方位在中興新村最繁盛的地區，希望也能透過改善來帶動遊客造訪，提升中興新村的遊客率。

引進當地口碑好、富有在地特色的各個美食。
• 融入在地特色：
整體設計融合了中興新村的獨特景觀-紅磚屋瓦，不失美感之餘還保留了
在地的建築特色。
• 綠色設計：
建築外觀加入植被綠化，不僅呼應中興新村為花園城市的概念，還能達
到建築隔熱降溫、減緩暴雨逕流、淨化空氣汙染等生態環境之目的。座
位區和休息區種植綠色植披，客人享受美食的同時也可以欣賞景觀。
• 營造不一樣的美食廣場
採用室內的美食街設計，遮風擋雨之外，還統一座位區使不再雜亂。

Xing shi xiang

Zhongxing New Village was originally the location of the provincial government and was designed as a garden-style administrative community that combined office spaces with residential areas. In addition to administrative buildings and staff housing, the entire community includes several food hubs, such as markets and food courts. Among them is the food street that is the focus of this renovation project.

For the residents of Zhongxing, this food street holds childhood memories. The initial motivation behind the project was to improve the environment of the food street, create a more efficient layout, and establish clearer zoning for vendors. The goal is to provide both residents and visitors with a more comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Conveniently located in the busiest area of Zhongxing New Village, the project also aims to attract more tourists and boost the village’s visitor rate through these improvements.

• Diverse Cuisine:
Introduce locally renowned and distinctive foods that showcase the unique flavors of the region.

• Integration of Local Features:
The overall design incorporates Zhongxing New Village’s iconic red-brick architecture, preserving its local character while maintaining aesthetic appeal.

• Green Design:
Vegetation will be added to the building's exterior to reflect Zhongxing New Village’s identity as a garden city. This will also serve ecological purposes such as improving insulation, reducing stormwater runoff, and purifying air pollution. Green plants will be placed in seating and rest areas, allowing guests to enjoy the view while dining.

• Creating a Unique Food Court Experience:
An indoor food street design will be adopted to protect against wind and rain, while providing a unified and organized seating area to eliminate disorder.
