本研究創作《迴》是一款以第一人稱視角為主的恐怖模擬遊戲,背景設定在台灣的白色恐怖時期。遊戲結合劇情發展、恐怖元素和沉浸式的遊戲體驗,打造出一個充滿懸疑與驚悚的氛圍。玩家將扮演一名火車站的審票員,負責防範任何政治分子進入火車站,並在過程中見證一場悲劇的發生。
此研究創作的重點在於:在遊戲基礎上,創作出一款結合恐怖遊戲元素和歷史背景的模擬遊戲,讓遊玩者了解那段黑暗的日子與深刻的文化探討。遊戲以第一人稱視角讓玩家親身感受那個充滿壓迫與恐懼的時代,營造「沉浸式恐怖體驗」。
遊戲背景發生在台灣的白色恐怖時期。主題圍繞在一名火車站審票員的工作上,玩家負責檢查乘客的證件並確保無通緝名單上的人進入車站。隨著遊戲進行,玩家無論如何選擇都無法改變悲劇的結局,這是為了讓玩家親身體驗那段身不由己的動盪歷史時期。遊戲的核心玩法是審查與決策,玩家需要仔細檢查每位乘客提供的證件,包括身份證、通行證、申請書等,並逐一比對。此外我們特別設計「理智值」這個系統,若玩家操作錯誤將會扣除理智值導致遊戲結束。

Hui

This research creation, "Hui", is a first-person horror simulation game set during Taiwan's White Terror period. The game combines narrative development, horror elements, and an immersive gaming experience to create an atmosphere filled with suspense and terror. Players take on the role of a ticket inspector at a train station, tasked with preventing political dissidents from entering the station, while witnessing a tragic event unfold.
The focus of this research creation is to develop a simulation game that integrates horror game elements with historical context, allowing players to understand that dark era and engage in profound cultural reflection. Through the first-person perspective, players experience the oppressive and fearful atmosphere of the time, creating an "immersive horror experience."
The game's setting takes place during Taiwan's White Terror period. The theme revolves around the duties of a train station ticket inspector, where players are responsible for checking passengers' documents and ensuring that no individuals on the wanted list enter the station. As the game progresses, players cannot alter the tragic outcome, emphasizing the helplessness of that turbulent historical period. The core gameplay involves inspection and decision-making, requiring players to meticulously examine each passenger's documents, including ID cards, passes, and applications, and cross-check them. Additionally, a "sanity meter" system is designed—errors in operation will deduct sanity points, leading to game over.
The game "Hui" is founded on a deep reflection on Taiwan's history and a concern for contemporary society. It seeks to allow players to understand and portray a dark period in Taiwan's history—namely, the Martial Law era and the White Terror—through the medium of a video game. We believe that games, as a novel form of artistic expression, have unique advantages in breaking free from the conventional and structured narratives of documentaries or books. They provide an immersive experience that lets players feel history, inspiring emotional resonance and profound reflection on the past. A game is not merely a form of electronic entertainment; it can also serve as a powerful medium for cultural education and historical transmission.
