異夢實錄是一款文字解謎遊戲，主要以閱讀劇情，收集CG，用使用滑鼠點擊解謎為主。此製作的重點為使用劇情中所得到的資訊與畫面上進行互動，根據不同選擇分支線的不同，增加影響最終結局的變數，依據劇情中給予的提示，使玩家透過線索逐漸明瞭整個故事。
前面場景以及音樂圍繞在傷心難過的氣氛中，後半段則是營造出一種詭異的和諧，畫面上更是呈現出破舊腐敗的壓抑氛圍。結合以往文字冒險的解謎和選項選擇外，增加了與劇情相符的異能使用以及切換角色視角的功能，玩家可以根據不同視角了解角色內心的想法以及遊玩到不同的畫面和不同的劇情。而異能的使用運用在了解謎的部分，有些看似沒有關連的道具，可能使用異能後會有不同的結果，由於著重在劇情上的體驗，關卡難度偏容易。

By following the hints embedded in the story, players gradually piece together clues to uncover the full truth.

The early parts of the game, along with its music, are enveloped in a sorrowful and melancholic atmosphere. In contrast, the latter half shifts into an eerie yet unsettling harmony, with visuals that depict a decayed and oppressive environment. Beyond the traditional text-based adventure elements of puzzle-solving and choice-driven narratives, the game introduces unique mechanics, such as supernatural abilities that align with the story and the ability to switch character perspectives. Through different viewpoints, players can gain insight into each character’s thoughts, experience unique visuals, and explore alternative storylines.
