拾起回憶-大統百貨改造計畫

大統百貨於1975年成立，是當時東南亞最大的百貨公司，也是全臺灣第一間安裝透明觀光電梯的百貨公司。直到大統百貨於1995年燒毀後，附近的商圈也逐漸沒落，昔日的盛況已不復見。雖然現在高雄百貨公司處處可見，但大統百貨在高雄人心中有不可取代的地位，最懷念的還是大統百貨當年的繁華。

我們覺得大統百貨商圈就這樣落沒很可惜，想透過重建大統百貨並結合當時帶給高雄人的重點回憶，與中央公園做呼應形成生態型的百貨商場改善大統百貨現況，將陽光投射到室內，延伸中央公園的綠地，創造舒適的自然購物環境，有別於高雄現況的百貨商場，以自然景觀為主要的設計目標。

Pick up the memories - Datong Department Store Renovation Project

Datong Department Store was established in 1975. It was the largest department store in Southeast Asia at that time, and it was also the first department store in Taiwan to install a transparent sightseeing elevator. After the Datong Department Store burned down in 1995, the nearby business districts also gradually declined, and the former grand occasion was gone. Although Kaohsiung Department Stores can be seen everywhere now, Datong Department Store has an irreplaceable position in the hearts of Kaohsiung people. What I miss most is the prosperity of Datong Department Store in the past.

We feel that it is a pity that the Datong Department Store business district has fallen like this. We want to improve the current situation of Datong Department Store by rebuilding Datong Department Store and combining the key memories brought to Kaohsiung people at that time, echoing the Central Park, and forming an ecological department store. Projected into the interior, it extends the green space of the Central Park and creates a comfortable and natural shopping environment. Different from the current department stores in Kaohsiung, the main design goal is the natural landscape.
