In recent years, seaside activities in Taiwan grow rapidly. As the amount of tourist visits increases, seasides are strewn with litter. Plastic bottle has the largest amount among those litter, a million of plastic bottles can be collected at beach each year. It has caused serious ocean pollution. To ease the increase of marine debris, government promote the importance of recycling actively.
Taiwan recycles 4 billion plastic bottles and consumes 3.5 billion cups of coffee annually. Large amount of consumption causes excessive waste and leads to environmental pollution. Besides reducing the consumption and encouraging recycling, what else can be done to reduce the generation of waste?
In recent, circular economy is encouraged globally. Instead of disposal after using, circular economy allows the application of regenerative cycle. Taiwan industry has regenerated the coffee grounds and bottles into fabric. Recycling effect is achieved through the regenerative cycle.
The purpose of this documentary is to introduce the possible methods of handling waste and future development .
